· Hello, Is it possible to change default Play Music On Hold setting from “Ring” to my custom Music On Hold, eg. “MyMOH”? When I create new extensions the default setting in FMFM module for Play Music On Hold is “Ring”. I am wondering if is it possible to configure FreePBX so everytime I create new extension the Play Music On Hold is set to “MyMOH” by default. Thanks. · As of FreePBX , Music on Hold files can be managed entirely from the command line with no adverse effects. You may find it easier to upload and move files from one category to another by using SSH to access your machine and then using scp to upload files, and cp or mv to copy or move files into categories. · I am using Voicepulse as our SIP trunk provider and we have grandstream phones but it shouldnt matter what phones we have, its the customers that are saying its to loud when we put them on hold. I converted MP3 files to wav files and uploaded them into MOH and they are loud. If i send myself into the call park the onhold music is loud.

Hi, I'm using the freepbx-distro with freepbx 14 and linux I don't know where to configure music-on-hold, that is played when the call is holding. When I configure MOH on the extention module then the music isn't played when the call is hold but when I'm waiting for the call being answered instead of ringing. One very easy way is to use an MP3 stream and the basic MPG command-line player. For this example we are using a free acoustic music on hold test stream provided by Easy On Hold ® Courtesy of Voneto Blog, Corey McFadden. Log into your FreePBX interface and navigate to the "Music on Hold" menu, under settings in recent versions of FreePBX.
Old system you could press *59 and it would just play hold music out the speaker and the phone would work as normal. Yeah - no. You can simulate that by taking one of your line buttons/channels and connecting it to an “extension” that plays on-hold music, and letting the other stay on-line and ring. As of FreePBX , Music on Hold files can be managed entirely from the command line with no adverse effects. You may find it easier to upload and move files from one category to another by using SSH to access your machine and then using scp to upload files, and cp or mv to copy or move files into categories. Now that we have our source, open the Music on Hold section from the FreePBX web admin by going to Settings - Music on Hold. Choose the option to “Add Category”. Give the new category a valid name, and for the Type, choose Custom Application, then Submit to create the new category. Next, click the action to Edit the new category.
