Indesign images not showing when pdf is downloaded






















 · First, try prefighting (File menu) to see if any problems come up. Also check the links window to see if nay of the image require updating. In you pdf export window, Under Compression uncheck Crop image data if it is checked. Under transpaency flattener in the Advanced section make sure that High is selected. Sometimes, there can be problems with the built in PDF viewer, which may cause images to not appear. If everything is correct in the code, the images should still appear in the downloaded PDF file. To resolve this issue, you can simply change the PDF viewer from built in to native using the instructions found here. If you can, try to ensure every RGB image has a color profile saved with it. Photoshop saves profiles by default in the Save As dialog box, but it's off in Save for Web. Check to see what your InDesign document's default RGB profile is. This is harder than it should be. You can find it by choosing Edit Convert to Profile. Acrobat 4 PDF compatibility (PDF ) does not support transparency. Therefore, InDesign flattens the file during the conversion process. Consider changing the settings in the Transparency Flattener presets. Converting the spot color to a process color allows InDesign to flatten the image without stitching.


The image may still be of low resolution even though you changed the display performance settings. For these images, make sure that you use the Place command to insert the image into InDesign. In some instances, pasting an image from another application may result in the preview image being inserted instead of the original file.
